The Deacon Convener of the Trades House of Glasgow would like to invite you to this years’ Business Lecture : Entrepreneurial Leadership, Talent and Diversity: recovering into a ‘new normal’
Event Details:
Date: Tuesday 29th June 2021
Time: 6.00-7.00PM
Venue: Zoom webinar (link provided upon registration)
The Lecture will be given by Professor Eleanor Shaw, Associate Principal and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Strathclyde University
‘As our economy and society grow out of Covid, Glasgow will benefit from different, innovative thinking including Entrepreneurial Leadership and the recruitment of talented graduates able to contribute to our recovery through application of their subject-specific knowledge and an ability to thrive on change, seek solutions to challenging problems and to do so with empathy and engagement with others. Taking the opportunity now to reflect on approaches to leading and growing firms, identifying what has worked and what hasn’t, and recognising what is required for the short, medium and, if possible, longer term futures, is likely to lay strong foundations for a positive, inclusive future economy with generates economic, social and community ‘wealth’.
In this lecture Eleanor will explore the future role of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial leadership and consider what the likely benefits for reflecting on how we lead and develop our organisations will be beneficial for our recovery from Covid.’
